INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -One of the most popular pieces of art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art if the LOVE sculpture made by American artist Robert Indiana.

Soon, a small replica of the sculpture will be on its way to Indy’s sister city in Cologne, Germany.

First Lady Karen Pence will take the piece of art there in two weeks as part of a cultural exchange to Europe.

“We really are excited, especially because Museum Ludwig has such a large collection of American contemporary artists over there, so we’re just really excited to be able to take a piece of Indiana over there,” first lady Karen Pence told 24-Hour News 8.

Pence is also taking a banner made by students at Parkside Elementary School in Columbus. She will deliver it to a school in Columbus’ sister city in Lohne, Germany. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
