Despite chilly temps, Butler plays spring football game

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -It may not have felt like spring, but Saturday, the Butler University Football team held its spring game at the Butler Bowl.

The Blue-White Spring Game marks the last of 15 spring practices for the team. The game kicked of at 2 p.m. and was free to the public.

The Bulldogs had a great season in 2013 with a 9 and 4 record. The team was also co-champions of the Pioneer Football League and won its first-ever birth in the NCAA playoffs.

Practice will resume in August in preparation for the team’s season opener against against Taylor on Saturday, Sept. 13. at 6 p.m.
