Greensburg bests Bowman in Class 3A finals

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Sean Sellers had 27 points and 16 rebounds and Colin Rigney finished with 23 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead the Greensburg Pirates to a 89-76 victory over the Bowman Academy Eagles in the Class 3A state finals Saturday night.

The Pirates (28-1), which won its second straight title, closed out the third quarter on an 8-0 run. Rigney hit a 3-pointer, Ryan Welage made a free throw and Sellers made two before McIntosh scored to give the Pirates a 66-54 advantage. They went on an 11-3 spurt in the fourth to take a 19-point lead.

Davon Dillard had 21 points and Austin Daniels added 14 for the Eagles (22-5), whcih had a chance at being the first team in Indiana to win a championship in three different classes. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
