Two suspects in custody after north side bank robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say they have two people in custody after a bank robbery on the city’s north side Monday afternoon.

It happened at a Fifth Third Bank in the 8500 block of North College Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. According to a release from the FBI, two armed, masked men entered the bank and robbed it. Police say no one was injured.

The two suspects fled from the scene in a stolen vehicle. Police took one suspect into custody in the 7600 block of North College Avenue after the vehicle the two were driving in was involved in a crash.

The second suspect was apprehended on foot in a nearby residential neighborhood.
