Fortville man faces charges of sexual misconduct with minor


FORTVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Fortville have arrested a 21-year-old man on two preliminary counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class B and C felony.

Police have been investigating the claims since the Feb. 4 of the inappropriate relationship and found that Neil Escue was indeed having relations with the minor.

Escue was initially arrested on March 25 and charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Fortville Police have continued the investigation and forwarded paperwork to the Hancock County Prosecutors office with these suggested charges:

• Two counts of fraud on a financial institution, Class C felony
• Dissemination of matter harmful to minors, a Class D felony
• Obstruction of justice, a Class D felony provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
