Woman robbed, attacked in Indianapolis apartment building

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WISH) – A 51-year-old woman was robbed and attacked in her apartment building while walking home from work on the northeast side of the city.

According to a IMPD police report, police were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. Monday to 9300 block of Jutland Court in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, police say the victim stated that she was robbed and attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

The victim said the men approached her on the sidewalk and then followed her into the apartment building. One of the suspects grabbed her hair from behind keeping her from moving, while the other pulled out a black handgun.

The suspects then took her purse, pushed her up against a wall and down five flights of steps. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim did complain of pain, but refused medical treatment.

The victim had only a general description of the suspects and one of them was a teenager.
