EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Planners of an Evansville air show are anticipating the return of the Navy’s Blue Angels after last year’s trip by the precision flying team was canceled.

Hadi Shriners spokesman Dale Thomas says the club is set to have the daredevil fliers at the 2015 Evansville ShrinersFest. The Blue Angels website lists the team’s trip to Evansville for June 27-28 next year.

The team was scheduled to appear at the Evansville festival last summer before automatic federal budget cuts led military officials to cancel air show trips.

Thomas tells the Evansville Courier & Press last year’s cancellation left a bit of a sour taste, but that it wasn’t the Blue Angels’ fault.

Shows by other stunt pilots are planned for this year’s ShrinersFest scheduled for June 11-15.
