ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – Nine people face criminal charges for their role in what officials call fraudulent billing practices at the Anderson Dental Center.

The owner of the Anderson Dental Center, Sally Metzner, 57, Anderson, is charged with two counts of corrupt business influence, money laundering, Medicaid fraud, theft, forgery and practicing dentistry without a license.

Three dentists who practiced at the center and five of its employees also face charges, according to Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller.

Court documents allege that Metzner and her co-defendants submitted false and inflated claims to the Indiana Medicaid program, sometimes using forged documents, in order to receive more Medicaid reimbursement than they were due.
