PENDLETON, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Pendleton arrested a man charged with child exploitation and possession of child pornography.

Luis A. R. Ramirez, 20, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Monday on a warrant. His charges stem from an incident in January 2013 along with digital images and videos discovered on his cell phone and computer. On Tuesday, an order of protection was filed against Ramirez by one of the alleged victims, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.

A probable cause affidavit states that investigators were first tipped off when a 17-year-old Pendleton Heights student contacted the Madison County Sheriff’s Department back in October and said Ramirez had shown her a video of himself having sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl. The 14-year-old was able to be identified by the 17-year-old.

Police received a warrant on Oct. 17 for Ramirez’s home and discovered several laptops, cell phones and memory cards. They also found several nude photos of the 14-year-old and a file containing the video the 17-year-old identified.

The affidavit states that Ramirez admitted to offering the 14-year-old marijuana in exchange for sex and made the video. The 14-year-old said she wasn’t aware she was being recorded  in an interview with investigators.

Ramirez was held at the Madison County Jail. As of Tuesday night, he had not bonded out.
