Indiana voter registration deadline is Monday

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana residents have less than a week left to register to vote in the May 6 primary election.

Monday is the deadline for voters to register. Registration can be started, verified or updated online at Voters may also register at their county clerk’s office or any Bureau of Motor Vehicles branch.

The Indiana secretary of state’s office says registrations that are mailed must be postmarked by April 7.

Residents who will turn 18 before the general election in November are eligible to vote in the primary if they register.
