Person shot, killed on east side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person has been shot and killed on the east side.
The shooting happened in the area of East 10th Street and North Rural Street at approximately 10:45 a.m.
After responding to the area for a call for shots fired, officers located a male victim on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The male victim was originally transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
IMPD later confirmed that despite the best efforts from the medical staff, the victim passed away.
the name or identity of the victim has not yet been released. Additionally, police have not released any information on a possible suspect.
