KOKOMO, Ind. (Kokomo Tribune) – Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Bunker Hill man found at Kokomo’s trash transfer station.

A worker discovered the body of Elvin Miracle early Thursday.  A report indicates that an intoxicated Miracle may have climbed in a trash container due to weather conditions and fell asleep, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner The Kokomo Tribune reports.

Howard County Coroner Jay Price said Miracle died of compression asphyxiation likely from being crushed by the trash truck’s compactor. Ethanol intoxication was determined as a secondary cause of death. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
