Three people hurt in Tipton County crash

TIPTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Three people were injured in a three-car crash in Tipton County.

It happened at 2:40 p.m. Friday on U.S. 31 at the State Road 28 intersection.

According to an Indiana State Police Peru Post press release, A 30-year-old driver from Florence, SC was heading northbound on U.S. 31 and allegedly failed to stop for a red traffic light at the intersection and struck a vehicle heading eastbound.

The impact of the crash pushed the Toyota into the front bumper of a semi.

One of the drivers involved was taken to the hospital with arm and rib injuries.
