Police release name of man shot, killed on east side Friday night

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police have released the name of a man shot and killed on the east side of Indianapolis late Friday night.

Police were called to the 1100 block of North Ewing Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday on the report of a person shot. When officers arrived they found 39-year-old Joshua Luecking inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound.

EMS personnel arrived and pronounced Luecking dead at the scene. Officers haven’t said what led to the shooting.
