SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — Whether you prefer a two-seat Indy Car, a stock car or a Chevrolet Impala pace car, you can take a lap around Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Indy Racing Experience is now offering what it calls victory rides to fans around the famed oval. The top speed for all victory lap rides is 60 mph. The cost is $60.

John Paul Hyden of Indy Racing Experience said anyone 9 years old and above can go for a spin.

“ We have special seats for them, we have special helmets, and special neck restraints. Safety first with the kids,” he said.

Riders don’t have to wear the fire suit, but a helmet is required along with being buckled in with a harness.

As part of the experience, riders can buy a picture of themselves in the car for $10 or get video of the ride for $75, including keeping the camera.

Victory laps will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, unless there’s activity on the track. Weather must be good enough for driving. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
