NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The Fishers mother who was at the center of an Amber Alert in September 2013 has had her case dismissed, according to court records and her attorney.

Jennifer Ansari made headlines after taking her then 8-year-old daughter to Kentucky after a court order granted custody to the father of the child. Indiana State Police issued an Amber Alert at the time, and Ansari was subsequently arrested. The girl was safe and never injured.

At the time of her arrest, Ansari maintained her innocence. On Wednesday, a Hamilton County court dismissed the case, clearing Ansari of any criminal wrongdoing. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
