INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Pacers Foundation will make a generous donation to an Indianapolis public school.
Thomas D. Gregg Elementary School 15 will receive a $50,000 grant Wednesday. The funds will be used to further implement the new STEM curriculum.
The grant will also provide professional development for staff on theme development and implementation in the field of aeronautical studies and sciences. A “Pacers Mission Control Room” will also be developed and will provide space and materials for students to work on STEM projects, including access to Aviation and Aerospace software.
School 15 Principal Dr. Teresa Baker says the study of Aviation and Aerospace will provide a lot of learning opportunities and career choices for students at a young age.
Pacers Foundation representatives will present the grant during a school-wide assembly at 2 p.m.
School 15 is one of three schools in the IPS Innovation Network.
