Man found guilty; tried to have estranged wife killed

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – A Hamilton County jury found a Carmel man guilty in a case in which officials say he tried to have his estranged wife killed.

According to court documents, Stephen Perry asked a co-worker to kill his estranged wife by offering him $15,000.

Perry was arrested in January 2013.

Court documents indicate Perry was trying to get out of a potentially messy divorce, when he was recorded on a cell phone making the offer.
