Man dead, child unaccounted for after Tenn. cabin fire

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A man is dead and a child is unaccounted for after a cabin fire in Tennessee on Saturday.

Police dispatchers received the call around 4:30 a.m. from Cabins at the Crossing in Sevierville. WVLT in Knoxville, Tenn. reports when crews arrived, the three-story cabin was approximately 75 percent involved.

Officials say many of the people in the cabin had minor cuts, while some had broken bones. Those injured were taken to LeConte Medical Center.

A man was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials say a child was unaccounted for as of Saturday afternoon.

WVLT reports the group is from Indiana. Officials say first responders from across the county responded to the fire.
