Aircraft makes emergency landing at IND

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An aircraft that was on its way to Texas needed to make an emergency landing in Indianapolis on Sunday.

According to Indianapolis International Airport officials, the American Airlines flight took off from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas and was heading to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

The flight was diverted to IND with 149 people on board. It landed safely around 1:45 p.m.
