JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A Niles, Ind. man was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital after his motorcycle crashed in Jackson County on Sunday.

Indiana Conservation Officers say just after 1:30 p.m., they were called to Moto Supreme, a private race course located off of CR 975 W in northern Jackson County.

Officers say 48-year-old Thomas Dronicki was riding his motorcycle and tried to cross a creek when he lost control. He was thrown from the motorcycle.

Dronicki was taken by medical helicopter to IU Health Methodist Hospital and treated for his injuries. Officers say he was wearing a helmet and safety equipment, which likely reduced the severity of his injuries. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
