Police investigate fatal crash on city’s near north side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Fatal Alcohol Crash Team was called to investigate a fatal crash that occurred on the near north side of Indianapolis Sunday night.

Police dispatchers with IMPD say the crash happened at North 30th Street and Ralston Avenue around 9 p.m. Officers say the crash involved a man on a dirt bike and an unknown vehicle.

Dispatchers say the man on the bike was killed. The vehicle involved in the crash remained on scene.

Officer Christopher Wilburn with IMPD said around 9:20 p.m. that the FACT Team was en route. Police at the scene said the bike the man was riding did not have lights on.
