Blackford Co. train incident ruled suicide

MONTPELIER, Ind. (WISH) — An incident involving a train in Blackford County on Sunday was ruled a suicide, Blackford County Sheriff’s Office officials said on Monday.

The train made a sudden stop near State Road 18 in Montpelier, prompting attention from nearby emergency medical personnel. But an investigation revealed a woman had stopped her vehicle and stepped onto the tracks, facing the ongoing train. She had known emotional issues.
