Lawson collects women’s business wear for charity

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Secretary of State Connie Lawson is collecting donations of women’s suits and business clothes.

The clothes will be collected to help women in need of business wear as part of Dress for Success’ Send One Suit Week. People are being asked to donate one suit, one blouse or money.

The suits are given to women in central Indiana who need professional clothes for job interviews or new careers.

Contributions can be made April 21-25, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Lawson’s Statehouse office. Lawson herself will collect donations from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 23. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
