INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Detectives with IMPD and the City of Indianapolis served a temporary restraining order this week that closed a motorcycle club where a deadly shooting occurred.

IMPD detectives served the temporary restraining order to the owners of Capital Punishment, which was the scene of a homicide on April 12. Police say 47-year-old Trent Wilson was killed after a disturbance broke out inside the establishment, which is located in the 3600 block of East 25th Street.

Witnesses say a fight inside the club led to shots being fired in a parking lot shortly after the crowd exited. Officers found another man with lacerations to the head and neck.

After the shooting, detectives and the City Prosecutor launched an investigation that revealed illegal activity, which resulted in the temporary restraining order being granted, a release said.
