INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Fire officials with the Wayne Township Fire Department say four teenagers were injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash on the city’s northwest side.

Emergency personnel were called to the 3700 block of Pinecrest Drive around 3:30 p.m. to the report of a vehicle crash with people trapped.

Officials say an SUV left the roadway and hit a bridge before flipping over and trapping two of the four teenage passengers. It took fire crews 40 minutes to remove two individuals from the car–two other occupants escaped the vehicle on their own.

Everyone in the SUV was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
