MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The Metropolitan School District of Martinsville has a new acting superintendent, following the resignation of its interim superintendent.
Jerry Sanders, who has served as assistant superintendent of instruction for 12 years, was named acting superintendent by the school board.
Interim Superintendent Robert Brower began in January to help the district, but he resigned on Tuesday. He’s working on a book.
“The school board is only a few weeks away from naming a new superintendent for the district and having Dr. Sanders take over from this point is a natural transition,” Board President Beckie Weddle said in a news release.
