GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) – School officials at Center Grove High School say they have identified a student responsible for making a bomb threat on a school wall on Tuesday.

Officials say after investigating the incident, the Center Grove Police Department and high school administrators identified the student, who admitted to making the threat to an administrator.

School officials say the student will be suspended pending a recommendation for expulsion. The student was taken to the Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center.

According to a release, a student found the threat Tuesday afternoon and immediately told administrators. Authorities searched the building, but found nothing. School officials say at no time did they or investigators think there was an immediate danger to students or staff.

Because the student is a minor, a name will not be released. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
