Carmel fire crews battle barn fire that spread to field

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – Firefighters in Carmel were on the scene of a barn fire that spread to a field on Thursday evening.

Dispatchers in Hamilton County said around 5:40 p.m. that the barn fire started near Hoover Road and Gwynmere Run and spread to a field. This is near Towne Road and West 116th Street.

Carmel Fire responded to the fire. 24-Hour News 8 crews at the scene say a home nearby suffered some damage as a result of the fire.
