Power outage prompts early school dismissal

CLAYTON, Ind. (WISH) — Two elementary schools in Hendricks County planned to dismiss at 1 p.m. Friday because of a widespread power outage in the area.

Mill Creek Community School Corp. officials said Mill Creek East and West elementary schools would dismiss early. The middle school and high school were not affected.

Third grade students from East Elementary on a field trip will leave school at 3 p.m., about an hour earlier than a normal day.
