GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) – Center Grove High School officials say a second arrest has been made, after a bomb threat was found written on a wall inside the school this week.
School officials say the Center Grove Police Department continued their investigation after a student was arrested on Wednesday. That student had admitted to writing the threat, which was discovered on Tuesday.
Another student found the threat and immediately told administrators. Authorities searched the building, but found nothing. School officials say at no time did they or investigators think there was an immediate danger to students or staff.
Police say through that investigation, a new student was identified, and it became clear that the first student had falsely confessed to school administrators.
High school officials say they are working to determine the consequences for the student arrested on Friday. CGPD will turn the case over to the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Neither of the students’ names have been released.
