Child hit by stray bullet on city’s southeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  Police say a child was hit by a stray bullet late Friday night on the city’s southeast side.

Police dispatchers with IMPD say it happened at a home in the 2100 block of East Lexington Avenue just before midnight.

Police say the child was grazed by the bullet.

Details on the child’s condition, or what led to the shooting, weren’t immediately available.
