Police investigating attempted robbery at gas station

attempted robbery gas station

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis are searching for a man who tried robbing a gas station early Saturday morning.

Police say a little after 1 a.m., a man armed with a knife went into the Speedway at Lynhurst Drive and Morris Street on the city’s west side. A customer inside the store called 911, and the suspect took off without any money.

Officers say say a store employee had some bumps and scrapes, but they weren’t sure exactly what caused those injuries.

Police searched the area around the gas station, but were not able to find the suspect.
