BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana Conservation Officers will increase patrols this week around the Monroe Reservoir in preparation for Indiana University’s upcoming Little 500 festivities.

Officers will be patrolling by water and land making sure everyone is celebrating in a safe way. They encourage students to have fun, but to remember to be safe on the water, leaving the Reservoir and traveling back to campus.

Hundreds of young adults travel to Lake Monroe to celebrate Little 500 every April. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
