Woman wanted on warrant out of Missouri arrested after crash

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana State Police say a woman wanted on a warrant out of Missouri was arrested Wednesday morning following a crash in Putnam County.

It happened shortly after 10 a.m. on the westbound exit ramp of Interstate 70 at U.S. 231. Preliminary information from police revealed a Chevrolet pick-up truck driven by 52-year-old Ginny Sue Gregory of Cedar Hill, Missouri was exiting I-70 and hit a GMC pick-up at the U.S. 231 stoplight. No one was hurt.

Police say during the investigation, Gregory was found in possession of suspected marijuana under 30 grams. It was also determined Gregory was wanted on a warrant from Jefferson County, Missouri.

She was arrested for one felony and two misdemeanor charges for dangerous drug violations for the warrant out of Jefferson County, Missouri. She was also preliminarily charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

Gregory was taken to the Putnam County Jail and is awaiting arraignment on Indiana charges and extradition of Missouri charges.

Police say blood results for possible impairment are pending on Gregory.
