Earth Day event takes over White River State Park

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One of the largest Earth Day events in the country took place in Indianapolis on Saturday.

Earth Day Indiana took over White River State Park with a mission to promote environmental protection, conservation of natural resources and sustainable living.

More than 140 people volunteer to put on the Earth Day Indiana Festival. There was live music, games, food and demonstrations for visitors to enjoy.

Forecast 8 Meteorologists Pamela Gardner, Ken Brewer and Robb Ellis were also at the event.
