Uncle, niece linked to multiple robberies

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police have made arrests in a crime that left a local grandmother badly bruised, and investigators think there are multiple victims involved.

Mark Jones, 47, was arrested on preliminary charges of of theft and robbery. Lindsey Jones, 27, was arrested on preliminary charges of credit card fraud and theft.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said they suspect the uncle and niece were involved in multiple robberies in which purses were taken.

A tip ultimately led police to the duo.

JoAnn Green was injured when she tried to fight off her attackers. She required stitches and was bruised when she was dragged by her purse.
