NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Police dispatchers in Hamilton County say emergency personnel were on the scene of a serious crash in Noblesville Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:17 p.m. at Greenfield Avenue and South 16th Street. Police say it was a head-on collision involving two vehicles.

Preliminary information is that a 2007 Pontiac was heading westbound on Greenfield Ave. when for an unknown reason it crossed the left of the center and hit a 2006 Hyundai that was heading eastbound head on.

The driver of the Pontiac was taken to Riverview Health, was treated and released. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital. Police say a juvenile passenger in the Hyundai was taken to Riverview Health and later transported to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. Another juvenile in that vehicle was not hurt, officials say.

Police say none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation.
