NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A FedEx truck and a flatbed truck collided Thursday morning in Hamilton County, police dispatchers said.

The incident happened before 11 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 37 and Strawtown Avenue, which is north of Noblesville.

Police say preliminarily, a crash report shows the driver of the FedEx truck was northbound on SR 37 showing to turn when it was rear-ended by a flatbed truck. A witness says the trucks ended up hitting the guardrail on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Although a medical helicopter was initially requested, the crash ended up being less serious and didn’t require the helicopter.

The driver of the FedEx truck was checked by medics and released at the scene. The driver of the flatbed truck was taken to the hospital for a complaint of pain to his head.
