INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Despite problems in other Indiana schools, the state’s largest school district said Thursday it has encountered no problems with ISTEP.
The statewide school test had technical problems last year. Some schools in Allen County have reported problems this year, as well.
Indianapolis Public Schools officials said their testing began Monday. In order to avoid some of last year’s issues, the district staggered testing time for third through eighth grades. IPS also has back-up computers at testing sites as a precaution.
This week is the multiple choice portion of ISTEP. Schools will be testing through May 13.
