INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Marion County Coroner’s Office released the name of a man who was killed in a crash on the southwest side of Indianapolis on Wednesday.
Officials say 38-year-old Jeremy Stout was killed in the crash that happened on State Road 37 and Southport Road around 2 p.m.
The crash involved a Mercedes SUV that Stout was driving and a box truck. Police say the Mercedes crashed into the back of the truck, which was stopped at a red light. There were no skid marks at the scene.
Officials say the driver and passenger of the box truck were not hurt and that the passenger of a vehicle stopped in front of the box truck was taken to a local hospital in good condition. The Marion County Coroner’s Office says Stout died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries. Toxicology results are pending.
