CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (AP) – The owners of southern Indiana’s iconic former Colgate toothpaste factory are named as the defendants in a mortgage foreclosure lawsuit.

Court records show that Boston Development Group and TCL Encore LLC are jointly named as the defendants in a case filed in Clark County Circuit Court by 1410 S Clark Boulevard LLC.

The News and Tribune reports Clarksville Town Attorney Chris Sturgeon announced the lawsuit at Thursday’s Clarksville Redevelopment Commission meeting.

Sturgeon says the lawsuit was filed last week, but the absence of an employee in the Clark County clerk of the circuit court’s office delayed the filing.

Clarksville’s former Colgate plant has a large clock that’s overlooked the Ohio River for nearly 90 years. The site has been nominated for the National Register of Historic Places.
