The Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police hosted a memorial service to remember all local police officers who have died in the line of duty in Marion County.

Among those in attendance was IMPD Sergeant Jo Ann Moore, “I think it helps in grief to come together, to share, to bring comfort for those who have a fresh fallen, or for those of us who are remembering our fond memories. It’s just important, you can’t live alone, we have to be together, we have to share, it’s a community.”

Representatives from Indiana State Police, Beech Grove, Speedway and Lawrence and other local police agencies were also in attendance. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
