Lafayette police bust hotel room meth lab

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Police in Lafayette arrested three people and busted a meth lab on Thursday.

Police were called at approximately 2:10 a.m. to the Economy Inn on Sagamore Parkway attempting to serve a warrant to Room 78. When police arrived, they smelled a strong odor commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, WLFI reports.

Police confirmed the odor came from an active meth lab. The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression team was then called to the scene.

Police arrested Jeremy Richardson, 28, and Desiree Davis, 27, for possession and manufacturing of methamphetamine. Joseph Gia, 32, was arrested for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.
