Police investigating south side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – IMPD is investigating a shooting that occurred near Union Street and Raymond Street on the city’s south side.

Police were dispatched to the scene shortly before 5p.m Tuesday. When they arrived, officers found a male with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Eskenazi Health and listed in serious but stable condition.

Witnesses said that four males ran from the location of the shooting. Police set up a perimeter, but were unable to locate any of the suspects. A search did find a vehicle believed to be connected to the crime.
