Motorcyclist and passenger seriously injured in crash

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A motorcyclist and passenger were seriously injured Tuesday night in Clinton County.  Shortly before 9:30 p.m. Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies and emergency personnel were called to the intersection of State Roads 26 and 75 near Rossville.

Investigators say a passenger car was southbound on State Road 75, the motorcycle was westbound on State Road 26.

Witnesses told police the passenger car pulled out in front of the motorcycle.  The motorcyclist was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with head and leg injuries.  A passenger on the motorcycle had head injuries and was taken to IU Hospital in Lafayette.  Sheriff’s deputies said they don’t believe the injuries to be life-threatening.

The officer’s report made no mention whether either of them was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the car was not injured.
