INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Red Kettle Cook-Off is raising money for a local Salvation Army program on Wednesday. 24-Hour News 8 will be participating in the cook-off from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Georgia Street in downtown Indianapolis.
For $10, you can get a burger, side, cookie, and drink. All proceeds will go toward the Salvation Army Bed & Bread Club, which provides food, shelter, and other necessities so struggling individuals in the community can get back on their feet and make a better life for themselves.
24-Hour News 8′s Pamela Gardner, Steve Bray, Scott Sander, Drew Blair, Teresa Mackin, and Andi Hauser will be cooking up burgers with cheddar cheese, bacon, your choice of veggies and bacon relish. The team who sells the most burgers throughout the day wins.
Besides the burgers, Indianapolis Motor Speedway representatives will be at the cook-off offering free rides in two-seat race cars.
