INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police said a woman who was wanted for a misdemeanor warrant led police on a chase on the northwest side of Indianapolis Thursday afternoon.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, an officer pulled over a silver Lexus around 1:30 p.m. for a traffic offense. When the officer realized the driver had a misdemeanor warrant out for arrest, he tried to get her out of the car. The woman then sped off in her car.

IMPD officers were able to block her off with a squad car near Fox Hill and Michigan Road. Police said her car spun out.

According to police, the chase lasted about four minutes and speeds topped out at 70 to 80 mph.

Police arrested the woman at the scene.
