Lawrence police searching for bank robbery suspect

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) – Lawrence Police Department officers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they believe robbed a Chase Bank Friday morning.

Police said the suspect entered the Chase Bank located at 4202 N. Franklin Road in Lawrence at 9:48 a.m. He displayed a note to a teller saying he was robbing the bank and demanded money.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller, the suspect fled on foot out of the north doors of the branch, according to police.

There were no witnesses to indicate if he left in a vehicle or on foot.

Police describe the suspect as a medium height black man in his mid to late 20’s. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, camouflage shorts, and tan boots.
