Storms moving through C. Ind. could get severe

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Storms moving through Central Indiana Friday night and into Saturday morning could get severe.

The Forecast 8 team says these storms could bring damaging wind, an isolated tornado or hail.

Around 8 p.m., quarter-sized hail was reported in Cass County. A 24-Hour News 8 viewer also reported pea-sized hail on the northwest side of Kokomo, in Howard County.

The threat for thunderstorms continues Friday night with the slight risk of severe storms through the overnight hours. Additional thunderstorm chances will remain in the forecast for the weekend and into early next week.
